Why does my home have warm breaker switches?

Warm breaker switches indicate excessive current flow or a loose connection inside the panel. A breaker operating near its rated capacity will feel warm but should not be hot to the touch. If a breaker feels hot, the circuit is likely overloaded, or the breaker itself is failing. This is a fire risk. Unplug devices on the affected circuit and call an electrician immediately to inspect the panel and replace the breaker if needed.
