What disclosures am I required to make as a seller in New Jersey?

New Jersey law requires sellers to complete a Seller's Property Condition Disclosure Statement covering known material defects in the roof, basement, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, foundation, and other systems. Homes built before 1978 require a lead-based paint disclosure. You must also disclose any environmental hazards, past flooding, or structural issues. Full disclosure protects you from future legal claims.
