26th Annual South Jersey Caribbean Festival

Feel the rhythm of the islands right on the Camden Waterfront. Fiesta Latina at Mercer County Park

Headliner Victor Manuelle -- the legendary Puerto Rican salsa singer known as "El Sonero de la Juventud" -- takes the stage for an electrifying set. In addition to world-class salsa music, the festival features food trucks serving authentic Latin cuisine, children's inflatables and activities, and a beer garden for the adults. This is a vibrant, multigenerational celebration of Latin culture that brings the entire community together.
51st Annual NJ Clearwater Festival

For over half a century, the Clearwater Festival has been bringing together music, environmental advocacy, and community on the Asbury Park boardwalk. This year's 51st edition features live music across multiple stages, food trucks, craft vendors, sustainability exhibits and demos, kids' programming, environmental education, and an adult beverage garden. It is a festival with a mission: to celebrate and protect our waterways and environment. Just $5 admission (children under 10 free). A perfect way to spend a weekend at the shore with purpose.

Play Hook-E: Free Fishing Day for Veterans, Children, and Active-Duty Military

The 10th annual Play Hook-E event is a free community fishing day for disabled veterans (including those with PTSD), children with disabilities, and active-duty military members. Founded in 2017, this heartfelt event provides free fishing, a barbecue, prizes, and a day of community connection at the beautiful Lake Julianna. Fishing equipment is provided. Burlington County Farmers Market

Make the Most of Your Weekend
With so much happening across the region, a little planning goes a long way. Here are some tips to help you enjoy everything South Jersey has to offer this weekend:
- Start Saturday early. The Burlington County Farmers Market opens at 8:30 AM and the best produce goes fast. Arrive early for the best selection and smaller crowds, then enjoy the rest of your day festival-hopping.
- You can do multiple festivals in one day. The Women's Equality Day Festival (1-5 PM) and the South Jersey Caribbean Festival (2-8 PM) and Fiesta Latina (2-7 PM) all run in the afternoon and are within reasonable driving distance of each other. Pick one or bounce between them.
- The Clearwater Festival is a weekend destination. If you are heading to Asbury Park, make a weekend of it. The Saturday night music runs until 10 PM, and Sunday has a more relaxed daytime vibe. The boardwalk, beach, and iconic Asbury Park restaurants are all right there.
- Pack for the weather. Late August in South Jersey can be hot and humid. Bring water, sunscreen, and hats for daytime events. Evenings at the amphitheater and the shore will be cooler, so a light jacket is useful.
- Bring a chair or blanket. The Burlington County Amphitheater concert is general admission on the lawn. A low-back chair or blanket makes all the difference.
