How do I prepare my home for spring allergies?
By Bob Millaway, South Jersey Community Expert & REALTOR®
Replace HVAC filters with high-efficiency MERV 11 or higher filters before allergy season starts. Clean or replace the filter more frequently during spring. Keep windows and doors closed on high-pollen days. Vacuum carpets and upholstery weekly with a HEPA-filter vacuum. Shower and change clothes after being outdoors to avoid tracking pollen inside.
Why It Matters
Simple steps inside your home can dramatically reduce your exposure to spring allergens and make allergy season much more manageable.
