How do I fix a clogged shower drain?

Remove the shower drain cover and pull out visible hair and debris with a drain snake or zip tool. These inexpensive tools hook onto hair clogs deep in the pipe. Follow with hot water mixed with baking soda and vinegar to clear remaining residue. If water still pools around your feet, the clog may be further down the pipe. In that case, a plumber with a powered auger or hydro-jetting equipment may be needed to fully clear the line.
