What is a ductless mini-split system?
By Bob Millaway, South Jersey Community Expert & REALTOR®
A ductless mini-split is an HVAC system that provides heating and cooling without ductwork. It consists of an outdoor compressor and one or more indoor air handlers mounted on walls or ceilings. Each zone can be controlled independently, eliminating the need for ductwork. They are ideal for room additions, converted garages, basements, and homes without existing ducts. They are highly efficient and provide zoned comfort.
Why It Matters
Ductless mini-splits offer a flexible, energy-efficient solution for spaces that are difficult to heat or cool with a traditional central system.
