How do I maintain my windows?
By Bob Millaway, South Jersey Community Expert & REALTOR®
Clean windows inside and out twice a year. Inspect caulking around window frames and re-caulk as needed. Check for cracked or fogged glass, which indicates a failed seal in double-pane windows. Lubricate moving parts on casement and sliding windows annually. Replace worn weatherstripping before winter.
Why It Matters
Well-maintained windows improve energy efficiency, prevent water damage, and keep your home comfortable year-round.
