How do I maintain my walkways?
By Bob Millaway, South Jersey Community Expert & REALTOR®
Inspect walkways and driveways annually for cracks, settled areas, and trip hazards. Patch small cracks with concrete or asphalt filler. Clean with a pressure washer to remove dirt, mold, and stains. Seal asphalt driveways every 3 to 5 years. Reset any loose pavers or stones promptly.
Why It Matters
Cracked or uneven walkways are a tripping hazard and can lead to larger structural problems if water seeps into the base and freezes.
