How do I maintain my lawn mower?
By Bob Millaway, South Jersey Community Expert & REALTOR®
Change the oil annually, replace the air filter each season, and use fresh gas with a stabilizer. Clean the underside of the deck after each use to prevent grass buildup. Check spark plugs yearly and replace if needed. Store your mower in a dry place and winterize it before cold weather arrives.
Why It Matters
A well-maintained lawn mower starts reliably, cuts cleanly, and lasts many years. Neglected mowers are harder to start and produce a poor cut.
